First Annual Texas Hill Country Cowboy Gathering

A Celebration of Song, Story, Poetry and Art

The First Annual Texas Hill Country Cowboy Gathering is slated for November 9-10, 2018 at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater, home of the Fredericksburg Theater Company, located at 1668 South US Highway 87 in Fredericksburg, Texas. 

The first annual “Gathering” will showcase the talents of Amy Hale Auker, Mike Blakely, Cowboy Celtic, Dom Flemons, Pipp Gillette, Andy Hedges, Waddie Mitchell, Joel Nelson, Randy Rieman and Trinity Seely, in a two day celebration of song, story, poetry and art. The artists are nationally known with some being recognized for their talent worldwide.

The Gathering kicks off on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Fredericksburg High School Auditorium, located at 1107 Highway 16 South.  Hosted by Joel Nelson, Randy Rieman will present the letters of Charlie Russell, the world famous cowboy artist. This is a fun and educational presentation on Russell’s life and letters to friends and associates of which he applied his art to the envelopes. This evening will be free to all area students and by donation from adults.

Friday and Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. the Gathering begins at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater with a free open mic session hosted by Mike Blakely. Soon to follow stage performances from the artists will run throughout the day. Both evenings at 7:00 p.m., a reserved seating group performance will conclude the days. All Access Passes are $125, and include reserved seating to all performances. Friday and Saturday Evening performance tickets are $35 each. As available, day passes may be purchased for $40 on the day of the performance.
