The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved the divestment of Raisio’s cattle feed business

On 23 October 2018, The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved the Lantmännen Agro Oy’s transaction regarding Raisio’s cattle feed business. The transaction was conditional on the approval of the competition authority. Raisio expects the deal to be completed and the business to move to the buyer in October-November 2018. The enterprise value is EUR 34 million.

The divested cattle feed business includes two production plants located in Ylivieska and Kouvola, as well as the brands, of which Maituri and Melli are the best-known. Raisioagro’s Benemilk licence will also be transferred to the buyer. Employees of the cattle feed business will start as serving employees at Lantmännen.
