Leading Transportation Provider’s Community Fundraising Efforts Continue to Help Those Less Fortunate in the Communities They Serve
WALL, N.J., Nov. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Student Transportation Inc. (STI), a leader in school transportation, safety and fleet services, announced its annual Driving Our Communities fundraising effort, powered by the STI Cares Foundation, kicks off today and runs through the end of December. The company-wide initiative, which is in its seventh year, helps those in need and gives back to the communities served by STI across the United States and Canada.

We continue to push for positive change in our communities and Driving Our Communities really highlights how special the members of our STI Family are given their selfless acts to help those in need.”
STI’s more than 170 locations will be accepting donations from employees, customers, vendors and community members throughout the remainder of the year continuing the annual tradition of Driving Our Communities. Supported by STI Cares, the non-profit arm of STI, this annual effort has an even greater reach with the Foundation’s ability to contribute to and further enhance local fundraising efforts. Donations for the less fortunate can include canned goods, boxed or bagged foods, dry foods and other non-perishable items. Coats and jackets, mittens and scarves, blankets, household items, toiletries and monetary contributions are also being collected. Also over the next couple months, STI employees will host Stuff-the-Bus events to collect donated items, donate transportation for senior care and veteran’s outings, and volunteer their time with food banks, homeless shelters and other non-profit organizations.
