Bethlehem, PA, Nov. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem, the popular holiday marketplace featuring Germany’s top Christmas ornament and decor company, Käthe Wohlfahrt, celebrates its 26th year with more than 200 vendors and artisans, new attractions and more holiday cheer than ever. The event, presented by Univest Bank & Trust Co., runs Nov. 23-25, Nov.29-Dec. 2 and Dec. 6-9, 13-16 and 20-23 at PNC Plaza at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pa. Established in 1993, Christkindlmarkt is a one-of-a-kind holiday experience that celebrates the old-world charm of Bethlehem, a city established on Christmas Eve 1741 and known as Christmas City, USA since 1937. Twice recognized as one of the top holiday markets in the nation by Travel + Leisure, this heart-warming holiday event features aisles of handmade works by the nation’s finest artisans – with thousands of unique gift ideas for family and friends – as well as live Christmas music; glassblowing and ice-carving demonstrations; an authentic German St. Nicholas; and European favorites like mulled wine, wursts and strudel. The event highlights a season of holiday fun in the city, with other attractions including horse-drawn carriage rides, the popular Bethlehem by Night Bus Tours, shopping on historic Main Street, nativity displays and living history demonstrations in Bethlehem’s Colonial Industrial Quarter.
