WSP Announces Changes to Its Board of Directors


MONTREAL, Dec. 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSP Global Inc. (TSX: WSP) (“WSP” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that Linda Galipeau, Chief Executive Officer, North America at Randstad NV (“Randstad”), the Amsterdam-based global leader in human resources (“HR”) services, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of WSP and as Chair of the Governance, Ethics and Compensation Committee.

Commenting on the news, Mr. Christopher Cole, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation said, "We are happy to welcome Linda to the Board. Linda Galipeau joined Randstad in 1995 and has been a member of their Executive Board since 2012. Over the years, Linda held various positions both in the United States and Canada, where she launched Randstad’s Canadian operation and grew it into one of the country’s leading HR services firms. She successfully integrated various acquisitions in the United States, including Vedior and SFN Group. Linda is also responsible for Randstad’s digital businesses, Monster and Risesmart, as well as the Randstad Innovation Fund, which invests in early stage technology companies, helping to bring new HR technology advancements to the marketplace.

Well acquainted with the professional services firms’ business model, Linda advocates for the development of internal talent and has implemented a rigorous people strategy that aims to attract, retain and promote key talent within the business. Linda is consistently named to Staffing Industry Analyst’s annual “Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing” list and has received numerous recognitions for her work in advancing inclusiveness. Linda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and a Master of Business Administration, both from McGill University.

WSP also announced that it has accepted the resignation of Josée Perreault from the Corporation's Board of Directors and the Governance, Ethics and Compensation Committee, effective December 31, 2018. She has been a member of the Board since January 2014, at a time when WSP counted approximately 15,000 employees.
