We are happy to share that SHARC Energy's very own Lynn Mueller participated in this three-day tour coordinated by BDC, the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC), the Canadian Building Decarbonization Alliance (BDA), and Reshape Strategies featuring hands-on learning, dialogues, and knowledge-sharing about scaling TENs in the Metro Vancouver region and across North America, and that SHARC technologies are used in the Utility Centre project. Why are TENs so important for the advancement of urban decarbonization? To put it simply, they are the right-sized solution for buildings to achieve energy efficiency (and will create good jobs in the process). Check out the full report here: https://lnkd.in/g-kDFBCZ
What if we could decarbonize whole neighborhoods at once instead of one building at a time? That’s the power of Thermal Energy Networks (TENs)—shared heating and cooling systems that cut costs, lower emissions, and create good jobs. 🏢 👷🏾♂️ 🌡️ We brought New York and BC together to explore how to scale TENs faster. Here’s what we learned: ✅ Bigger, bolder impact – Neighborhood-wide solutions beat building-by-building retrofits ✅ Jobs & climate, together – The right training + utility leadership = good, green jobs ✅ Cross-border momentum – Policy, data, and financing lessons to push progress Check out the report: https://lnkd.in/g-kDFBCZ
