The Syndicate Invests in High Definition Grain and Noise Reduction from Digital Vision

STOCKHOLM, Sweden and LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The US based company The Syndicate invests in a High Definition AGR4 Grain and Noise Reducer from Digital Vision.

AGR4 is Digital Vision's grain and noise reducer aimed for film, videotape restoration and MPEG pre-processing. The AGR4's advanced motion processing, newly developed adaptive 3-D filters and innovative edge-preserving spatial filter allow facilities to produce cleaner and sharper pictures without reducing resolution or introducing undesirable motion artefacts. AGR4 is available in SD and HD formats.

The Syndicate, based in Santa Monica, was launched in spring 2002 to focus on short form projects and has handled telecine and visual effects for national commercial campaigns and music videos. The Syndicate is one of two divisions under a new corporate umbrella venture, the ComputerCafe Group.

Digital Vision's business concept is to offer state-of-the-art technology and products to clients in film/video, multimedia and the distribution of digital television within two business areas: -- Media Mastering, e.g. the digital mastering of feature films, TV- shows and commercials and the adaptation of these to DVD -- Media Networking, the adaptation of images and sound to digital transmission networks

Digital Vision was founded in 1988 and today the company is comprised of the Swedish parent company and a sales company in the U.S. The company is dedicated to the development and the sales and support of systems. Digital Vision is listed on the Stockholm stock-exchange.
