View Systems is expanding the target market for the Secure Scan concealed weapons detector portal to increase market penetration. In addition to promoting the portal to courthouses, schools, commercial buildings and government agencies, the Company has begun initiatives targeted at correctional facilities, sporting venues as well as security contractors. Recently, company executives and engineers held live demonstrations at professional stadiums and a federal penitentiary with exceptional results.
The production of the Secure Scan Portal has been accelerated to meet current invoices and allow for the marketing of a new lease/rental program. This initiative will provide convenience and flexibility allowing an organization to provide security for a one-time event.
The ViewMaxx digital video surveillance system continues to evolve in the Baltimore/Washington metro area with sales to schools, local businesses and storage facilities. ViewMaxx's third quarter sales have doubled the sales realized in the second quarter. Gross margins are increasing as sales increase due to volume purchases of components. View Systems is seeing an increase in repeat buyers and referrals as product reliability, name recognition and competitive pricing are driving public awareness.
The newest product line, Visual First Responder (VFR) is a Hazardous Materials reusable camera with long range, ultra clear, encrypted video transmission acquired from INEL, the Idaho Federal Laboratory. This section of the business is rapidly developing and will be discussed in detail in an upcoming announcement. Recent demonstrations at industry events, special presentations for government agencies and the company's procurement of a very prominent global distributor have created great excitement in the industry and around the company.
