Tele2 Gets Clearance From Spanish Competition Authorities for the Acquisition of Comunitel


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (Stockholmsborsen:TEL2A) (Stockholmsborsen:TEL2B), the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that the Spanish anti-trust authorities have approved the acquisition of Comunitel by Tele2.

Tele2 is pleased with this announcement and expects to close the acquisition, announced on July 14, by October 1, 2005.
