The NCTI Features Torbay President and CEO in Its Innovator Profile and as a Panelist

MINEOLA, N.Y., Sept. 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Torbay Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:TRBY); The National Center for Technology Innovation (NCTI), Washington, DC: The NCTI recognizes Tom Large, TRBY's President and CEO, as an innovator worth watching for his functional-neural designs that maximize relaxation and natural input.

NCTI's "Innovator Profile" series offer a closer look at the work and worlds of assistive technology designers, manufacturers and distributors. The profile is taken from an interview with Eric Morrison, M.A., Lead Faculty for Disabled Student Resources at Pima Community College.

"NCTI is developing resources for innovators, vendors, and researchers to better understand the quickly changing assistive technology field. Our case studies, profiles and expert forums provide views of the business and educational landscapes where innovative technologies meet users. We hope to promote understanding between stakeholder groups, and these resources are windows into particular ways of thinking," says Dr. Tracy Gray, NCTI Director.

The National Center for Technology Innovation, funded by the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), advances learning opportunities for individuals with disabilities by fostering technology innovation. NCTI seeks to broaden and enrich the field by providing resources and promoting partnerships for the development of tools and applications by developers, manufacturers, producers, publishers and researchers.

Tom Large, President and CEO, stated, "We are very pleased to be a part of a process that seeks to understand and encourage innovation. We and our investors know of the effort and resilience that is required to introduce potentially ground breaking technology into old markets. Markets held captive by the status quo of outdated technologies, which do not keep up with new discovery or changing needs. Successful, innovation meets 3 criteria: it does what it says on the box; people, when they read the box, relate to the need and, to paraphrase my 'too stupid to be scared' quote in the article, those behind it have an unerring belief in the good it will do and are resourceful enough to endure whatever it takes to get it to those who benefit by it: and are rewarded too!"

Tom Large has accepted an invitation to be a Panelist in the upcoming Annual Technology Innovators' Conference in Washington DC, November 17th and 18th, in a session called "Profiles of Key Innovators". He will also be demonstrating "Designing to help might heal" at the conference Demonstration Event, Thursday evening. It is a review of the potential health benefits that a Functional Neutral mouse, which is a Universal Design, may have for computer users; in addition to making computers more accessible and usable across a broader spectrum of human capability.

Designer Appliances, Inc. is leading the way in the development of Anti.Fatigue(tm) tools and technologies to manage the impact that fatigue is now understood to have upon computer users. Anti.Fatigue(tm) design conforms to Universal Design criteria so produces products that are more "Accessible and Assistive" to all, including persons with dexterity impairment or disability. We are all capable of fatigue.
