HOUSTON, Aug. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today Texas Drain Technologies announces the complete restoration of Houston's 12-story, 317-room Hotel ZaZa's water system located in the city's Museum District. Texas Drain Technologies used the in-place ACE DuraFlo ePIPE(tm) process to restore the former Warwick Hotel's galvanized pipes, which were experiencing pinhole leaks and discolored water.
By burst sanding the pipes and applying ePIPE(tm), a preventative liner within the existing plumbing, Texas Drain Technologies completely restored the hotel's hot and cold risers allowing water to flow at optimum levels, free of leaks.
"With this project the entire 12-story, 1925 building was gutted and the renovators still chose the non-invasive ePIPE(tm) process as the best solution to restore the pipes," Gary Gould, President of Texas Drain Technologies says. "Because many of the pipes were encased in asbestos insulation it was imperative that the pipes were securely sealed and protected and the epoxy inner-pipe lining does that. The ePIPE(tm) process saved the ZaZa more than $40,000 in asbestos abatement."
"When the ZaZa opens in November of this year they will have optimum-flowing, epoxy lined pipes capable of serving them for hundred years or more," Gould says.
About ACE DuraFlo and ePIPE(tm)
ACE DuraFlo's unique "in-place" pipe restoration technology restores failing copper and encrusted galvanized piping systems, generally without the extensive demolition that accompanies a traditional plumbing re-pipe. The process involves air-drying of the pipes, burst sanding and the application of an epoxy barrier coating resulting in a restored epoxy lined plumbing system called ePIPE(tm). ACE DuraFlo offers a complete permanent solution for pinhole leaks and corrosion control for both commercial and residential plumbing systems.
