AMREL's ePower Line Just Got More Powerful With the Simultaneous Release of the SPS 1.5kW, 3kW and 15kW Programmable Switch Mode Power Supplies

ANAHEIM, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 26, 2007 --AMREL/AMERICAN RELIANCE'S ePower Line just got more powerful with the simultaneous release of three (3) new ePower SPS models at APEC 2007. Already offering one of the widest ranges of Programmable Switch Mode Power Supplies on the market today (1.2kW to 45kW SPS Series and 30kW to 150kW+ HPS Series), the AMREL ePower Line continues its expansion with the introduction of their 1.5kW, 3kW and 15kW SPS Models. Spurred once again by their customers' requirements, these additions solidify AMREL's reputation as a "Customer Driven" company.

The introduction of the 1.5kW, 3kW and 15kW supplies adds increased power density to the existing ePower SPS Series. The SPS Series outputs 1.5kW/1U, 3kW/2U and 15kW/3U Full-rack box, up to 45kW/9U box. With higher output power, efficient space utilization translates to cost savings for both single unit and system applications. User-friendly operation includes 16-bit ADC/DAC design for high-resolution measurements via front panel displays, voltage/current setting encoders or Keypad entry.

The SPS Series offers an impressive selection of interface options for local and remote control including: GPIB, RS-232, Ethernet, and RS-485 Interfaces (master-slave). Each SPS unit comes master-slave parallel ready with active current sharing. Remote programming can be accomplished via an extensive set of IEEE488.2 SCPI Commands for simple ATE integration. Other features include VLIST & ILIST for automatic stepping profiles, Remote Inhibit for remote emergency shutdown, Remote Lockout for setting security, and OVP/UVP/OTP/OCP protection. The SPS Series balances simple local operation with powerful remote capabilities in a high-density/smaller form factor to meet the demands of power electronics, and power sources testing applications in all stages of development while saving money and space.

1.5kW ratings include 12Vdc ~ 600Vdc & 2.5Adc ~ 125Adc @ 208/230Vac (3ph). 3kW ratings include 12Vdc ~ 600Vdc & 5Adc ~ 250Adc @ 208/230Vac (3ph). 15kW ratings include 16Vdc ~ 1000Vdc & 15Adc ~ 900Adc @ 208/240/380/415/440/480Vac (3ph) 50 ~ 400Hz.
