ELIZABETH CITY, N.C., Aug. 20, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gateway Bank (Nasdaq:GBTS) is offering Wilmington-area customers the chance to make an environmentally sound banking decision by participating in their "Go Green" campaign. The campaign, which began on August 4 and continues through August 29, gives customers a Gateway Bank "Go Green" shopping bag when they open a new checking account. Continuing the theme, the bank is asking people to bring "green" beans and other canned goods to the bank's Wilmington office during the campaign. The food will be donated to the Food Bank of North Carolina.
