Considering that you can charge through the gel skins is easily worth the price. The build quality is not that of Nintendo products, but it is quite good compared to a lot of lower quality products made in China. My only complaint is that the blue LEDs are constant when charging and blink when fully charged. This should be reversed. I had the Nikko charger and after awhile only one side worked and you had to jiggle the remotes to start the charge. This one, you just drop 'em on it and they charge even with the skins on.
