MARLBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - December 3, 2010) - Egenera Inc. announced today that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Panasonic Electric Works Information Systems (PEWIS), which will become the sole distributor of Egenera's flagship PAN Manager® Software for Fujitsu PRIMERGY™ BX900 Blade Server throughout Japan. PEWIS' role as Egenera's exclusive distributor agreement goes into effect immediately.
As a long time customer of Egenera's BladeFrame and Dell PAN System, PEWIS brings first-hand knowledge, expertise and best practices that it will offer to new customers. As the exclusive distributor for PAN Manager on Fujitsu platforms, PEWIS will provide a comprehensive range of sales and support services.
In addition to driving sales for PAN Manager Software for Fujitsu and providing support services, PEWIS will leverage PAN Manager in conjunction with its next generation IT system infrastructure solution called "Nextructure," which enables customers to deploy cloud computing, outsourcing and on-premise systems in mission-critical, multi-vendor, data center environments.
