Open Mobile Alliance Announces Speakers for Big Data Event and Webinar

OMA Brings Together Industry Experts to Discuss Standards for Data Collected via Mobile Devices


DUBLIN, IRELAND--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2013) - The Open Mobile Alliance has today announced its line-up of industry leading speakers from the mobile and Big Data communities for the Big Data seminar, hosted in Dublin on Thursday 6 June. Speakers will share their insights into the future of Big Data in relation to the mobile device, and for the first time, participants around the world will be able to join the event via a free interactive webinar streamed live throughout the day.

Keynote speaker, Ajit Jaokar - Founder of futuretext, will put Big Data into context and explain what it means to consumers, regulators and the industry's future. The seminar will also feature influential speakers including Mark Little of Ovum, Philip Sheldrake of Euler Partners, Tom Walls of Ciqual, Francesco Calabrese of IBM Research, Terence Eden of Telefonica, Mike Wehrs of Scanbuy, Malcolm Bowden of GS1 and Kepeng Li of Huawei. The interactive sessions will examine the collection, analysis and use of consumer data as it relates to the mobile device platform, as well as the need for increased standardization in mobile codes. A complete agenda and speaker information can be viewed at http://www.omaevents.org/?page_id=403.
