MCLEAN, Va., June 11, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In December 2012, Cognosante, LLC was awarded a four year contract to serve as the Independent Verification & Validation (IV &V) Contractor for the State of Indiana's Enterprise Medicaid System. The project consists of the new core Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) system, and Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW). Each system is scheduled to be implemented independently with the three projects spanning a three year time period. Cognosante staff will be responsible for completing IV &V tasks, assessing risk and identifying risk mitigation strategies for all project phases. The Cognosante team reports directly to the Indiana Medicaid Director or designee.
The project team consists of the Program Director, Project Manager, PBM and EDW leads and testers. "We are excited to partner with the state of Indiana on this important initiative," shared Cognosante Program Director Mary Jane Teirumniks.
