Velocity Technology Solutions Implements Universal Cloud Services for Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 18, 2014) -  Velocity Technology Solutions, Inc., (Velocity), a leader in cloud application hosting for enterprise and business software, today announced that Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, one of Brooklyn's largest voluntary nonprofit teaching hospitals, has commenced full operations with Velocity Universal Cloud Services for hosting and managing its clinical and revenue application suites, Infor™ financial and HR applications, the Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite, and managing Brookdale's IT help desk.

In September 2012, Brookdale was faced with an aging technology infrastructure that needed to be updated to support its strategic objectives, including implementation of clinical applications to achieve "meaningful use" of electronic health records as set forth in the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act. Brookdale selected Velocity as its partner to assist with an extremely rapid, 10-month application and infrastructure overhaul, which involved migrating 60 applications to Velocity's Universal Cloud Services.

Velocity's service includes "how to" functional application support and unlimited upgrades to software and custom code for interfaces, reports, and workflows.
