STERLING, VA--(Marketwired - Jul 22, 2014) - abas-USA is pleased to announce that Vermont-based Concept2, the world's leading manufacturer of indoor rowing machines and racing oars, has selected abas-ERP as their ERP solution.
Concept2 is expanding its operations into Europe and needed a global solution. "We needed an ERP platform that would combine both manufacturing and distribution into a single system, make inter-company transactions between the US and Europe easier, and promote our team-based environment," said Lisa Washburn, Finance Director at Concept 2. "After a long search for the right solution, we chose abas-ERP."
It was more than just the technology, however, that helped make the decision for the Concept2 team. "We liked the people we worked with at abas," Washburn said. "Like Concept2's culture, abas was more personal than some of the larger companies we talked to, and the abas team offered many ideas for a successful implementation. "
"abas-ERP is a great choice for companies like Concept2 that have geographically dispersed locations and complex processes," said Alan Salton, President of Virginia-based abas-USA. "The software is powerful straight out of the box, but because it is built for flexibility, we can adapt it to the unique aspects of each company's way of doing business."
Concept2 was founded in 1976 by Olympic athletes, Dick and Pete Dreissigacker. Their innovative product line includes Dreissigacker Racing Oars, used by 69% of all Olympic rowing medalists in the London Games; several indoor rowing machines, including the Model D, which is the bestselling indoor rower in the world; and the SkiErg indoor Nordic ski machine. Concept2's products are used around the world by athletes of all ages, sizes and abilities.
