OVIEDO, Fla., July 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Duda Farm Fresh Foods, the largest grower of celery in the world, is looking for the Ultimate Celery Champion to represent the kitchen staple in the World Food Championships.
Duda Farm Fresh Foods is seeking talented home and professional cooks that are ready to compete in a cooking contest featuring their very own original recipe using celery during the World Food Championships, Nov. 4 – 8, 2015 in Kissimmee, Fla.
To enter the contest, home cooks, chefs and would-be competitors are asked to submit an original recipe using celery as a primary ingredient to enter to win a $250 gift card and have the recipe professionally photographed and featured on the Dandy Fresh Fruits and Vegetables' social media networks and website. One grand prize winner will win a trip to compete in the World Food Championships in Kissimmee, Fla., on Nov. 4 - 8.
Contest rules are as follows:
Submissions must be received online (http://info.dudafresh.com/ultimatecelerychamp) by Aug. 26, 2015 and must include:
Original recipe plus photo, recipe title, list of ingredients and directions.
Fresh celery featured as one of the main ingredients.
You may enter more than one recipe.
Your recipe must be your own original recipe. It cannot be copied from a book or a website.
Prizes include:
One grand prize winner will receive airfare up to $750, a $750 travel stipend, and entry to compete in the World Food Championships for the preliminary rounds on Nov. 5. If the entrant advances, they will be able to compete in the final round on Nov. 7.
Three runners-up will receive a $250 Visa gift card as well as their recipe professionally photographed and featured on DudaFresh.com and the company's social media sites.
