Folio, the Gmail assistant for agents, adds security feature to warn agents about possible fraud emails

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 6, 2017) - Folio, the first intelligent assistant for real estate transactions, will now offer a new feature for agents that can alert them when they may have sent or received an email requesting a wire transfer or deposit. Folio is already being used by over 30,000 agents to organize their inbox by transaction and put key transaction details at their fingertips. This new feature gives more control for agents to know what's going on in their transactions and represents an important step toward helping agents safeguard themselves and their clients from wire fraud.

Targeted phishing attacks against real estate agents, aimed at taking control of their email and sending wiring instructions to unwitting clients, have become a serious problem in real estate. It is estimated that such attacks have caused over a billion dollars in damages to home buyers and sellers in recent years.
