Milinx Delivers on "Go To Market" Strategy

SEATTLE, Wash./VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 18, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Milinx Business Group, Inc. (OTCBB:MIXBA), a leading Application Service Provider (ASP), reports that its first week of sales based on its new application and hardware platform has been a spectacular success, especially when compared to many of the dynamic young Company's older rivals.

These earliest figures show just how strongly attractive Milinx is to the ASP clients, some of whom will both use and resell the Milinx platform. The number of Milinx clients is more than double that stated in the latest quarterly report of a large, established competitor based in the Southwest. It is also 45% higher than reported in the latest filing by another major ASP competitor based on the east coast. Yet another earlier entrant in the field reported that it took one year to increase its client list by less than half the number of new customers Milinx has obtained in one week.

Milinx is one of the world's largest pure-play ASPs to use Sun Microsystems hardware, according to an official of Sun.

President and Chief Executive Officer Maynard L. Dokken said, "We believe that these initial results indicate that our `go to market' strategy is working." The ASP user/reseller is the first of three key market sectors identified by Milinx. The other sectors are the Small-to-Medium Enterprise (SME)/Small Office Home Office (SOHO) and Internet Service Provider (ISP).

"Milinx is planting the roots to capture market share rapidly," commented Milinx Executive Vice President of Business Development Doug Hicks.

Years before anyone used the term ASP, Mr. Dokken wanted to create a one-stop source for solutions that would remove the burden that many businesses still carry -- the high cost of running their own applications and Information Technology (IT) departments. As completion of the multi-million-dollar Milinx Data Center draws very near, that vision is starting to be fulfilled by our sales success.

This release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. The reader is cautioned that important factors could cause actual results to differ materially. These factors include the inherent uncertainty, risk and strong competition in the ASP industry, the uncertainty of future sales performance and rates of growth, possible delays in the development and deployment of hardware and software, and possible delays in the completion of the Data Center.
