Insurer SPP Signs Master Agreement with Adcore


To secure a prominent position as a provider of operational support systems to the SPP group, SPP IT needs to complement and consolidate its operations by purchasing IT/Internet consulting services for project or assignment undertakings of varying scale.

This move is an expression of the SPP IT's intention to achieve a firmer grasp on its purchasing of external consulting services. The intention is that SPP group customers should be able to order IT/Internet consulting services provided by SPP IT with the assistance of internal and external resources more simply, and with consistent pricing. Furthermore, the ambition is that SPP IT's will be able to further enhance the total quality and profitability of its undertakings for SPP's business operations.

Jan Dahlin, CIO of SPP's group IT function, commented that "in our collaboration with Adcore, we see a big opportunity to gain a partner who can assist us in developing our Internet-based process philosophy. We also view Adcore as a partner who can help us interlink our underlying fundamental systems with www user interfaces."

The master agreement applies for 2000, with automatic annual extensions.

The SPP group comprises three business elements: SPP ITP (supplementary pensions), SPP Liv (life insurance) and SPP Kapitalförvaltning (asset management) plus two supporting elements: SPP Koncernstöd (corporate support) and SPP IT, which was founded on 1 January 1999. SPP IT's customers consist of enterprises, divisions and group functions within SPP, and its collaboration partners. SPP IT develops, manages and provides services and products on market terms.
