Haldex Nominated by Saab Automobile AB to Supply AWD System for New Vehicle Models


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Haldex nominated by Saab Automobile AB:

The nomination letter received specifies Haldex as the selected supplier of the AWD system for three new vehicle model based on two new platforms. The potential order value, over a 5-year period, is estimated to approximately 600-800 MSEK.

The nomination confirms Haldex leading position on the electronically controlled AWD market with orders from three of the five biggest automotive groups in the world.

The serial development is in progress with estimated market introduction within a few years,

Haldex is currently supplying the Volkswagen Group, which introduced the Haldex AWD system in 1998 and Volvo Car Corporation which recently has introduced the Haldex AWD system on Volvo S60 AWD and XC90.
