Virco Furniture Complements School Model Classroom at NSBA Show

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Virco Mfg. Corporation (AMEX:VIR) -- Virco's dynamic range of technology-support furniture will play a key role at this year's NSBA Technology + Learning Conference from November 12-15 in Dallas, Texas. That's because the company's Mojave(TM), Future Access(R), I.Q.(R), and other product lines will be featured in the School Model Classroom, sponsored by thin-client technology leaders, National Semiconductor (NYSE:NSM) and Citrix Systems (Nasdaq:CTSX).

Virco's furniture contributions to the School Model Classroom -- which uses extensive thin-client technology -- include a state-of-the-art Mojave workstation to accommodate a digital work area. Additional technology support will be supplied by two dozen popular Future Access computer tables. Moreover, a functional Plateau(R) Series product configuration by award-winning designer Peter Glass will serve as the Classroom's teacher's station.

Seating for the School Model Classroom will be taken from Virco's I.Q. Series, which was recently honored with a 2002 Best of NeoCon(R) Gold Award. Specifically, the Classroom will feature I.Q.'s versatile model 2660GC mobile chair, which features a contoured, ergonomically supportive shell complemented by a gas cylinder for easy seat height adjustment and a 5-point base. What's more, the teacher's station will have an elegant Ph.D.(TM) Series task chair -- another Richard Holbrook creation -- that combines a flexible backrest and simple, effective controls with durable construction for long-lasting comfort and support.

Along with Virco, National Semiconductor and Citrix Systems, other leading manufacturers participating in the School Model Classroom at the NSBA Technology + Learning Conference include Hewlett Packard, DT Research and ClassLink Technologies.
