Cardio Control Looks for Strategic Alliance

DELFT, The Netherlands, Nov. 11, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cardio Control NV, the leading innovative company for medical diagnostic systems in non-invasive cardiology, announces that it currently holds exploratory discussions with a third party about a possible strategic alliance.

As soon as there will be relevant developments, Cardio Control NV will provide further information. Cardio Control designs, develops and sells worldwide medical diagnostic systems for heart and lung functions. Last year, the company introduced unique software for recording and analysing combined medical and patient data for both centralized and remote usage. Customers are medical professionals and medical centers, with an increasing market in large clinics and hospitals. The most important product is Cardio Control's independently developed stress-test ECG system for diagnosis of the heart function.

In an earlier statement last month by managing director Dick G. van Luijk, Cardio Control stated: "The rapid growth of our sales and improvement of our results shows that we are on the right track." For 2002, an increase in sales of approximately 50% is expected, resulting in annual sales of about EUR 10 mln. In this case Cardio Control expects to realize the highest net profit in its 20-year history.
