Duna-Dráva is a 50-50 joint venture of two German companies, HeidelbergCement and Schwenk Cement. In a shift of focus these companies have already withdrawn from the concrete admixtures business. The sale of Stabiment by Duna Dráva therefore continues to pursue a process already underway. Stabiment sales total about CHF 2 m per annum.
The acquisition leads to an expansion of Sika's business in concrete admixtures in Hungary. Furthermore the cooperation established with the Duna-Dráva Group will be deepened and
solidified.
Stabiment customers will benefit from the acquisition through their access to the new Sika ViscoCrete® technology as well as from a full range offered from one source for the precast concrete production.
