Andrews has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
About Hannu Tukkimaki, President & CEO
Hannu Tukkimaki comes from a 33-year career with TELUS Advanced Communications, the last seventeen years of which were as a Senior Customer Systems Engineer. Mr. Tukkimaki was active with TELUS in the areas of systems design, systems planning and financial structuring for TELUS' major national and international customers.
Mr. Tukkimaki originally joined Pharmaglobe, after retiring from TELUS, as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. Now as President & CEO, he will continue to focus the Company's effort on helping the approximately 30 million non-insured Americans lower their prescription medication costs. The Company's sales and marketing section is now operational and includes a "Call Management Centre" for in-bound and out-bound calling with professional service and support people manning 1-800 lines and with fully licensed pharmacists on staff to provide professional consultation to customers.
About Jonathan D. Andrews, CFO
Jonathan D. Andrews, CA-IT/CISA, FCA (England & Wales) joins the company as CFO after a long career of more than 20 years in assurance services, including risk management in a variety of public and industry sectors including oil, airlines, general trading and financial institutions in the U.K., U.S., Canada, Middle East, South Africa and Bermuda.
Mr. Andrews was formerly CEO of NetLearn Services Inc. based in Victoria, B.C., where he specialized in the development of technology and privacy-related content. He has also been responsible for instructing MBA students in the strategic implementation and management of technology for Royal Roads University of Victoria, B.C. He is the author of various articles and educational content for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and regularly provides editorial input to the Information Systems and Control Association. Mr. Andrews' experience in public accounting and information technology will be of invaluable assistance to the Company, where he will be responsible for planning, co-ordination and control of financial operations on a group-wide basis.
