Tele2 AB: Approval From Finnish Competition Authority


NEW YORK and STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Tele2 AB, ("Tele2"), (Nasdaq Stock Market: TLTOA and TLTOB and Stockholmsborsen: TEL2A and TEL2B), the leading alternative pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that the Finnish Competition Authority has given its approval on Tele2's proposed acquisition of Song Networks Holding AB, without any conditions attached.
