Douglas Lake Minerals Inc. Called for Trading

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Douglas Lake Minerals Inc. (OTCBB:DLKM) is pleased to report that it was called for trading on March 21, 2005 to the OTB Bulletin Board (OTCBB).

Douglas Lake Minerals Inc. is an exploration stage company with mineral property in South Western British Columbia. The company is continuing work on its PAC mineral claims and is expecting to commence its summer exploration program once weather conditions permit.

During the past months, the company has sampled various gold mineral properties in Tanzania, East Africa. The results of this sampling has indicated that two of the properties have significant values of gold in outcrop (up to 89 grams from a grab sample, 2.4 grams from a rough chip sample over a 2 foot width and 6 grams of gold from the "tailings" of the local miners) with the auriferous structures extending several hundreds of metres along strike. With the potential of the property to have several zones or one longer zone along the identified structure, the company's president, a professional geologist and engineer, has recommended in consultation with an independent professional geologist that the company option the property and conduct preliminary exploration.

A program of mineral exploration on these properties is expected to be commenced in early April, consisting of Geophysical, soil geochemical and geological surveying.

The company has been able to attract sufficient interest in these preliminary stage exploration properties to secure private placement financing to cover the proposed initial exploration costs of U.S. $100,000.
