Up until 7p.m. -- Crews invited to shoot skaters on
the RiverRink (Market Street and Columbus Blvd.)
Midnight -- Best location is on the Market Street or
Chestnut Street ramps overlooking the waterfront,
or other nearby sites with height for the best
view of the fireworks.
Where: Blue Cross RiverRink at Penn's Landing
Columbus Boulevard at Market Street.
What: The 15th annual New Year's Eve Celebration in
Philadelphia will be a choreographed production
with the theme of Celebration, Revelry, Nostalgia,
and Love. The production set to go off at midnight
is high energy and colorful with many new effects.
Background: It has become a hugely popular Philadelphia
tradition for Penn's Landing to host New Year's Eve
Fireworks. The sidewalks are lined with onlookers,
streets are filled with people parked in cars and
the Blue Cross RiverRink is always sold out for its
annual New Year's Eve Party on Ice.
