New Crooner First Ever to be Sold in 'SkyMall'

LAS VEGAS, March 30, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Brian Evans, the young crooner known recently as Jay Leno's opening act when "The Tonight Show" host performs stand-up at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, is the first artist in the history of the in-flight magazine "SkyMall" to have his product sold in the catalog, seen by more than 400 million airline passengers all over the world over the span of three months. The magazine is also distributed on all domestic Amtrak trains under the guise "TravelMall," but it's the same magazine.

Evans is currently working on a new album, mostly comprised of original material.

"This next CD will be my best work, and I'm happy that 'SkyMall' is putting out the hard work I've done in the past. I look forward to recording original music in the crooner genre, because it's sorely lacking. Everything on the radio sounds the same these days, and people are dying for a melody and lyrics," says Evans.

Evans was also recently awarded a resolution by Massachusetts state senator Marc Pacheco, honoring Evans for his work in the entertainment business. In Evans' earlier days, he guest starred on such notable network TV shows as "Full House" and "Beverly Hills, 90210." He begins a weekly run at the new Las Vegas casino "Red Rock Casino" on April 21st, performing in the Rock Lounge every Friday night from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

"I can't complain. It will be a fun gig. Anyone who only works three hours a week can hardly argue."
