Value Place Opens Doors to Extended Stay Property in Pharr, Texas

Fast-Growing Hotel Brand Offers Affordable, Cleaner, Safer Lodging Starting at $179 Weekly


WICHITA, Kan., Aug. 30, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- A Value Place extended stay hotel is now open in Pharr, Texas -- the first for the area and the fourth for the state. The 121-unit extended stay property is located three miles west of the McAllen--Miller International Airport at 207 W. Expressway 83, at the Sugar Road exit. Weekly rates are $179.

Value Place (http://www.valueplace.com) is the national low-cost provider of cleaner, simpler and safer extended stay lodging. Lodging industry visionary Jack DeBoer founded the company in 2003.

Value Place residents include tourists, business owners, contractors and others who need temporary lodging for job assignments or medical treatment, or local individuals who need short-term housing.Value Place provides:

-- Full-size bed and kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stovetop and microwave

Amenities include cable or satellite TV, and biweekly housekeeping. Residents can purchase extras, such as additional housekeeping, dishes, cookware and high-speed Internet.

Three other Value Place extended stayed properties are currently open in Lubbock, Killeen and Brownsville, Texas. Two additional Texas properties are under construction in Harlingen and Fort Worth. In all, 23 Value Place extended stay hotels are open in 11 states, with 18 more under construction. Construction-starts for about 40 more are planned within 90 days.

Company founder Jack DeBoer also founded Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites and Candlewood Suites. He is considered the inventor of the extended stay hotel concept. In the 1970s, he was the nation's second largest apartment developer. Value Place headquarters are in Wichita, Kan.
