Top Area Beautymakers Celebrate SCI Success


WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 25, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- More than 100 of the Phoenix-Scottsdale area's top beautymakers attended the Salon City "I Own The City" press party, October 23, 2006, at Mane Attraction Salon in the upscale Biltmore Fashion Park district. Fountain Capital Group, Inc. and Von Dutch watches sponsored the event.

Industry leaders, salon owners, fans and friends all gathered to celebrate the news that Salon City, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SLON) is now the first publicly traded company to brand the beauty industry to conscious consumers globally.

Said SCI President and CEO Steven Casciola, "This is my hometown, where I grew up and attended school. The event featured the newest issue of Salon City, starring Bahar Soomekh, gift giveaways, and the raffling of two Von Dutch watches. Gifts were provided by Tim Riley at Wella, Cristy Monteiro at Dermalogica, Sally Lessner at Bumble & bumble, and Saundra Vizzerra of Vizzerra Jewelry. Two sleek Porsches adorned the street outside.

Said Dan McGuire of Evolution Motorsports, which provided the cars, "I feel there is such a similarity and a connection with both the beauty and performance industry. Both are so opulent in what we do, with the hard work and aesthetics that we both go through to embody beauty."
