TASER Device Prevents Airport Suicide Attempt

According to news reports from the Mississauga News in Ontario, Canada, a Scarborough man brandishing a knife at Pearson International Airport was taken into custody Sunday night on a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon. David McGregor, 42, was threatening to use a knife near the arrival section of Terminal 1 just before 8:00 p.m. where he was confined by Peel Regional Police and the Pearson Airport Emergency Response Team outside the terminal. McGregor attempted to turn the knife on himself but police responded by subduing the man with a TASER device.

McGregor is currently being held for a bail hearing. He suffered only minor injuries.
