ZURICH, Nov. 14, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- STOXX Ltd. today announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index, the Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its sector indexes, the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.
Effective with the open of European markets on December 18, 2006 the following six stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 and its respective size and sector indexes: BOLSAS Y MERCADOS ESPANOLES (Spain, Financial Services, SIBE: BME), FLSMIDTH & COMPANY (Denmark, Construction & Materials, OMX NORDIC: FLS), MARFIN FINANCIAL GROUP (Greece, Banks, ATHEX: MRFKO), OC OERLIKON (Switzerland, Technology, VIRT-X: OERL), PREMIER FOODS (United Kingdom, Food & Beverage, LSE: PFD) and STANDARD LIFE (United Kingdom, Insurance, LSE: SL).
Companies exiting the index are: ANTENA 3 (Spain, Media, SIBE: A3TV), BCA FIDEURAM (Italy, Financial Services, MIB: FIBK), HUHTAMAKI OYJ (Finland, Industrial Goods & Services, OMX NORDIC: HIH1V), INMOBILIARIA COLONIAL (Spain, Financial Services, SIBE: COL), PARTYGAMING (United Kingdom, Travel & Leisure, LSE: PRTY) and STORK (Netherlands, Industrial Goods & Services, EURONEXT: VMFN).
AIK Football (Sweden, Travel & Leisure, NGM: AIK B) will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.
As of October 31, 2006 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 increased to EUR 6,806.09 billion from EUR 6,276.66 billion and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index to EUR 7,303.04 billion from EUR 6,735.70 billion.
The Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 and the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index are also part of this regular quarterly review. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/info/reports/reviews.html
As of October 31, 2006 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index increased to EUR 20,881.08 billion from EUR 19,659.35 billion, and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index increased to EUR 85.70 billion from EUR 80.37 billion.
The total free-float market capitalization of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index increased to EUR 955.31 million from EUR 871.99 million.
Changes are being announced today after the conclusion of a regular quarterly component review. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on December 13, 2006 after close of European markets. All changes will be effective on December 18, 2006.
