Additech Appoints Bill Farrant Vice President, Houston Operations

New VP Leading Improvement of Fuel Additive Service Delivery as Company Grows


HOUSTON, Nov. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Additech announced the appointment of Bill Farrant to the position of Vice President, Houston Operations effective immediately. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing processes and the associated training to improve each element of the company's operations, including new installations, testing and deployment of new products and services, customer support, the interfaces to the company's suppliers and contractors. This is a critical role as the company continues to scale up.

Commenting on the appointment, Ralph Koehrer, chief executive officer, said, "Bill is a valuable addition to the leadership of the company at a time when we are scaling up. He has a passion for replicable processes and for customer service. I am delighted to have him on board."

New Revenue Stream for Retailers

Additech's unique fuel additive delivery system dispenses and blends specialty fuel additives into gasoline while consumers pump their gas, allowing consumers to conveniently perform routine auto maintenance while they fuel their vehicle and providing retailers with an additional revenue stream.

"By paying retailers a share of revenue to occupy approximately 1.5 sq. ft. of dead-air space next to the pump, the turn-key system has no entry cost and no upkeep for them while providing a valuable car care service to their customers," Koehrer said.

Prior to joining Additech, Farrant served as the COO of Ba-Bing, the Quiznos subsidiary providing point of sale solutions to their restaurants. Prior to joining Ba-Bing, he held the position of VP of service operations for Danka where he launched the company into the multi-vendor maintenance services arena: in the space of three years, this business unit achieved a $40M annual revenue run rate. During an eight year tenure at Anacomp, Inc., he helped the company transition from analog to digital based services initially as the Director of Product Management and later as SVP/GM of the Document Solutions business -- Anacomp's services focused on data storage, archive and retrieval on a variety of media ranging from microfiche and roll film through CD to sophisticated web hosted capabilities. Farrant spent the first 12 years of his career at Fujitsu in several different engineering and software positions before being appointed a product manager for point of sale systems. Farrant earned an MBA and BS in Business from Pepperdine University and an AA in Electronics from El Camino College.
