Located in Oldenburg, EWE TEL is one of Germany's leading regional telecom operators and provides services including high-speed Internet access, voice services, wireless, and enterprise data to more than 300,000 customers in northern Germany. The European systems integrations partner AXIANS, represented in Germany by NK Networks & Services, introduced the Infinera Digital Optical Networks solution to the North German full-line provider EWE TEL in 2005. After intense evaluation, EWE TEL selected Infinera's Digital Optical Networks architecture to provision services quickly and cost-effectively as network demands grow and evolve. With high-speed Internet traffic growing significantly, EWE TEL needs the flexibility to react to sudden customer demands.
