Acquisition of qualifying holding                                               

JSC "RĪGAS RAUGS" informs that it has received the notifications from           
JÄSTBOLAGET AB and POLTTIMO YHTIÖT OY on closing of the purchase transaction as 
a result of which JÄSTBOLAGET AB has acquired 314004 shares of JSC "RĪGAS RAUGS"
which were previously held by POLTTIMO YHTIÖT OY. As a result of the            
transaction, the voting rights held by JÄSTBOLAGET AB in JSC "RĪGAS RAUGS" have 
increased from 40.6% to 81.22% and the voting rights held by POLTTIMO YHTIÖT OY 
in JSC "RĪGAS RAUGS" have decreased from 40.62% to 0%.
