Political Study Suggests Top Web Sites to Reach Republican and Democratic Voters

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 13, 2008) - A recent political study by Experian Research Services suggests the most popular Web sites visited by Republican and Democratic voters range from the nhl.com and barnesandnoble.com to americangreetings.com and fox.com. The data also suggests how to reach and target voters via direct mail, e-mail, television and in magazines.

The findings are part of a larger study of more than 250,000 respondents that identifies 10 political segments of registered and unregistered Republicans, Democrats and Independent voters including Super Democrats, Left Out Democrats, Green Traditionalists, Uninvolved Conservatives and Ultra Conservative Republicans.

According to Chris Wilson, president of Experian Research Services, 2008 will set a new standard for online campaign intelligence. "Candidates and political groups vying for an Internet advantage will need to pay special attention to online positioning," said Wilson. "Experian Research Services created a segmentation system that allows media buyers, political consultants and candidates to understand how to communicate with and target potential voters on a one-on-one basis."
