MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 11, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Virtual Radiologic Corp. (Nasdaq:VRAD), a leading national provider of teleradiology services, today announced the appointment of John Sodini as Vice President of Sales.
Sodini brings a wealth of senior-level leadership experience in healthcare sales to Virtual Radiologic. Most recently, Sodini was Vice President of Healthcare Sales at Getinge USA, a manufacturer and distributor of infection control and surgical workplace products. At Getinge USA, Sodini oversaw the company's sales organization, which achieved double-digit sales growth in both of the company's primary profit and loss centers.
Before joining Getinge USA, Sodini held several leadership positions at Siemens Medical Solutions, including Vice President of General Imaging Sales for the company's Ultrasound Division; Regional Vice President for all modalities; and Central Zone Manager for the Ultrasound Division. He began his career in healthcare with U.S. Surgical Corp., where he held a number of sales leadership roles over his nine-year tenure with the company, and later served as Region Vice President for ADAC Laboratories, a developer of imaging technology.
