SECO TOOLS GIVES NOTICE OF REDUNDANCY

SECO TOOLS GIVES NOTICE OF REDUNDANCY

Seco Tools has made 260 employees in its Swedish operations redundant in an
effort to reduce costs and adapt production capacity to the declining demand
from the manufacturing industry. The redundancies include both workers and staff
employees.
The job reductions refer primarily to the production unit in Fagersta but will
also include employees in Arboga, Norrköping and other locations.

The recently initiated measures are expected to result in the loss of 550 jobs
at the global level.

The previously implemented redundancies in November last year affected around
250 employees worldwide.

Employee co-determination negotiations with the trade unions will begin
immediately.
