Metro Detroit Rotary Clubs Looking for Applicants for Expenses-Paid Trip to Japan


ROYAL OAK, MI--(Marketwire - February 19, 2009) - The 53 Rotary Clubs in Southeastern Michigan (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties) and nearby Windsor Ontario area are looking for candidates to go on a Group Study Exchange (GSE) to Japan. Expenses are paid by Rotary International. The exchange to Japan will be from September 30, 2009 to October 31, 2009. Deadline for applications is March 15, 2009.

Applicants for Group Study Team are selected from corporations, small businesses, community organizations, medical and educational facilities, government offices and nonprofit agencies.

To be eligible, team members must be between 25 and 40 years old, and may not be a Rotary club member or be directly related to a Rotarian. They must be employed fulltime, with at least two years of work experience in their chosen field.

As representatives of Rotary District 6380 (consisting of 53 Rotary clubs in Southeastern Michigan and Central Ontario), GSE candidates should be articulate, open-minded, personable and motivated team players, enthusiastic about their vocations, eager to learn about the host country, as well as prepared to make presentations about our region of the world.
