AkzoNobel receives statement of objections

AkzoNobel has received a statement of objections from the European Commission with regard to possible violations of the antitrust rules of the European Union by its former heat stabilizers business. It regards allegations for possible conduct before the year 2001.

A statement of objections is the formal start of legal proceedings that may or may not lead to a decision by the European Commission to fine undertakings for violations of the antitrust rules. AkzoNobel is analyzing the statement of objections and will prepare its defense.
