BOULDER, Colo. and LAS VEGAS, Nov. 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blue Yonder Gaming Corporation, a Boulder start-up technology company, has partnered with Las Vegas-based ISI, Ltd., a global sports gaming company, to develop and market a unique all-in-one concept that combines sports betting with slot and video games. The new interactive player terminal will offer self-service betting and live video feeds along with all the advantages of server-based gaming including a selection of video slot games, capability to accept cash or tickets and interface to player and casino systems.

As a result, for the first time ever, customers in sports and race books using the Blue Yonder/ISI terminals will be able to wager on all race and sports offerings without standing in line and either place bets, play games or both with all the ease and access of today's networked slot machines. Just as significant for the operator, the multi-purposed terminal will not only offer immediate and "from your seat" wagering with either cash or tickets, it will add the higher revenues generated by slot and video games to traditionally less profitable and under-utilized areas including sports and race books. A patent to secure the intellectual property of this innovative concept has been filed.

The companies will introduce and demonstrate the new genre of terminals at the gaming industry's conference, Global Gaming Expo/G2E 2009 in Las Vegas, Nov. 17 - 19. Pending regulatory approvals, the first markets to be targeted will be key international regions early in 2010 with sales into the North American market later in the year or early 2011.

The new terminals will feature a touch-screen large enough to view all the action of sporting events and will be available either as a desk-top or a bar top unit with bill acceptors and ticketing features. In addition to betting on live sporting events, the units will provide access to a variety of slot, video poker, keno and blackjack games. Additional games are scheduled for subsequent rollouts.

"We see this as a high tech bridge to the next generation of networked gaming especially for sports books and other under-utilized gaming areas," commented Bill Stearns, President of ISI Sports. "With a multitude of key capabilities and advantages, our new terminals will bring added revenue to typically low margin areas."

"This is the first practical application of our just released platform," explained Peter Shoebridge, CEO of Blue Yonder Gaming. "In working with this partnership, we were able to truly underscore how our gaming platform can shortcut the process to implement a server-based system and even more, to easily incorporate ISI's race and sports applications."

The new partnership employed the newly released Blue Yonder platform to easily create the benefits of networked gaming and integrate the proven ISI applications for race, sports and entertainment. An affordable yet fully-functioning server-based gaming system, the Blue Yonder platform is designed to deploy and run a secure scalable solution for operating games and slot machines. With a robust development kit and a suite of APIs, it takes full advantage of the new structure coming to casinos as gaming operations convert from running stand-alone slot machines to streaming games on central server systems.

Since 2002, ISI has established itself as a global sports gaming and entertainment network that allows customers to access legal sports gaming opportunities and to obtain the latest in sports information and make sports-related purchases. The company has mainly used its special kiosks, iSports Stands, to link into secure, closed end intranet system within each individual jurisdiction. Under the partnership, the company is expanding its product line and will be responsible for sales and marketing of the new multi-functional video game and sports betting terminals.

Blue Yonder Gaming Corporation

Veterans of technology initiatives in gaming and other industries, the founders of Blue Yonder Gaming Corporation joined together in late 2008 to develop the tools and technology designed to provide access to and harness the latest high speed infrastructures coming to casino floors. In September 2009, the company released the first version of a novel solution designed to provide a practical way to transition to a networked gaming environment without the need for development of an in-house technology solution. The Blue Yonder platform provides an efficient and less complicated platform to develop server-based gaming solutions, allowing current content developers, gaming manufacturers and other innovators from a wide range of disciplines and sectors to focus their expertise on creating new experiences for players.
