Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc.'s Green World Water Receives Strong Global Interest in Desalination Reactors

Reactors to Produce Enough Electricity to Offset Cost of Water Production

BOISE, Idaho, June 29, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB:AEHI) today announced that AEHI subsidiary Green World Water™, which has developed the world's first commercially available and competitively-priced nuclear desalination reactor that can produce clean water from the ocean and electricity simultaneously, including pumping the water hundreds of miles inland, has created substantial interest in the international market.

"We are receiving calls from countries in South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The interest in our desalination reactor has reached such a level that we are now well positioned to sell several units by the end of the year," said Don Gillispie, AEHI CEO. "Water and power are arguable the two biggest concerns worldwide and the GWW™ reactor solves both problems more effectively and affordably than any other product on the market."

GWW reactors are based on advanced Western technology, come in a variety of sizes and are affordably priced, with financing options only available through AEHI & Green World Water.

Sizes include 650 Megawatts, 1100 Megawatts and because of the recent deal with Hyperion Power Generation, they will soon even come in much smaller 25 Megawatt stackable units.

The potential applications are extensive. The GWW units have the ability to produce clean water from the ocean, rivers, and even brackish sources and because they also provide a large source of power, they can also generate enough electricity to supply the energy needs of entire communities.

"The most amazing thing about our Green World Water reactors is the clean water they produce from the ocean is essentially free thanks to the revenue generated from the electricity the plant also creates," said Gillispie.

Depending on the number of desalination units on each plant, a single facility could supply power and clean water for up to 100,000 households or provide substantial water for large industrial applications. Based on these facts, it's clear why so many groups are showing their support for nuclear desalination.

"Nuclear power is being backed by the International Desalination Association and has been endorsed by the American Nuclear Society, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Gulf Cooperative Council and the United Arab Emirates just to name a few. Based on that level of support, we are in good company – an international community intent on making nuclear power a key component in the global effort to produce clean water," said Gillispie.
