BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - March 29, 2011) - Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU) employees will trade in pens for paintbrushes Thursday, April 14, to give the 48-year-old nonprofit BCR "a place to grow" facility a facelift. BCR provides day activities and extended daycare programs to children and adults with developmental disabilities. BCR is located at 230 E. Amherst Dr. in Burbank.
Approximately 30 LFCU employee volunteers will spend the day giving the BCR facility a new exterior coat of paint through LFCU's community project, Partner to Paint. Initiated in 2006, the project is designed to provide assistance to the community by painting -- free of charge -- a local structure in need with an exterior coat of paint.

LFCU offers a Volunteer-Time-Off program to its employees, giving them company paid-time-off to volunteer in the community. Each employee can receive up to eight hours per year to volunteer during the work day.
