ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Sep 8, 2011) - The MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta is holding a "Logistics in the Information Age: Complexities in the Retail Supply Chain" event on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. EDT. The event will be broadcast live across The MIT Enterprise Forum network of 28 worldwide chapters and is sponsored by global supply chain optimization provider Manhattan Associates, Inc.
Event speakers will share their insight on how technology can be used to help solve the complex supply chain challenges found in today's global markets. The featured speakers are:
- Mark Holifield, senior vice president of supply chain of The Home Depot;
- Brian Kinsella, senior director of product management of Manhattan Associates; and
- Damon Schechter, chief executive officer of Shipwire.

Mark Holifield is senior vice president of supply chain for The Home Depot. He is responsible for The Home Depot retail logistics, import and domestic distribution, delivery, transportation, and inventory planning and replenishment operations. Mark joined the company in 2006 and has more than 34 years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume retail supply chain management, transportation and logistics operations.
Damon Schechter is responsible for driving the vision and strategy of Shipwire, as well as the operations as the company's CEO. He brings more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur, business manager, and R&D leader. Damon is the coauthor of the bestseller Delivering the Goods: The Art of Managing Your Supply Chain.
Brian Kinsella is a senior director in Manhattan's product management organization and is focused on defining next-generation cross channel commerce enterprise solutions. In this role, Brian has sole responsibility for defining product direction for Manhattan's order management and reverse logistics management products and co-managing Manhattan's order management Professional Services organization.
