HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jan 25, 2012) - Energistics, the upstream oil and gas standards consortium, announced today that Mr. Duncan Junor, Senior Director Strategy and Corporate Development for Halliburton, and Mr. Steve Roberts, Vice President, Field of the Future® Flagship Program at BP, have been elected as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, to the Energistics Board of Directors. Mr. Junor will succeed Ms. Cindy Reece of ExxonMobil and Mr. Roberts will succeed Mr. Mark Greene of Accenture both of whom completed successful two-year terms as Chair and Vice Chair.

In Mr. Junor's role at Halliburton he coordinates strategic direction and business growth, in particular driving Halliburton's Digital Asset® programs and initiatives. Mr. Junor has 25 years of experience in the exploration and production industry, primarily in upstream development and midstream production areas. He holds a MSc. degree from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Mr. Roberts joined BP as a Geoscientist after graduating from Durham University and has worked across the globe spanning a 33 year career including exploration, appraisal and mature field development roles before moving to BP's IT organization in 1999 to help drive standard solutions. He returned to a subsurface technology role in 2011 where he is now accountable for driving the development and adoption of BP's Field of the Future® initiatives.
