United American Petroleum Corp. Announces Production Results From Its Marcee Lease In Gonzales County, Texas

AUSTIN, Texas, May 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- United American Petroleum Corp. (OTCBB:UAPC) is pleased to announce that sustained production from its Marcee well located in Gonzales County, Texas has been achieved. Current production is a sustained 6 bbls of oil per day on a timer, which will aid in the reduction of operating costs and maintenance issues.

A 'stair stepping' process will be utilized to potentially increase the amount of time the well pumps on a daily basis, which could further increase well production. The Company also believes additional revenues may be generated from gas production from this well; however, the volume and sellable quality of the gas has not yet been determined. Based on the current amount of sustained production from the Marcee well, the Company looks forward to producing 1 load of oil per month, which is a 2,400% increase from the original production rate of oil per day prior to the workover.

United will continue to monitor this well to determine if increased amounts of production are achievable by increasing the length of time the well is producing daily. Additionally, the Company will provide an update regarding the gas analysis as developments unfold.
